WE RAN OUT OF ROOM FOR THE LEAVES...

Well, Deirdre and I spent the better part of an hour raking our leaves and we ran out of room in the street to deposit the leaves! I think that we are trend setters, however I fired up my leaf blower and a few minutes later two of our nearby neighbors started up their leaf blowers, too! Deirdre did a masterful job of raking out the leaves from our back patio, as well as by the side of the house. The sad thing is that in a few hours, it will look like we had not done a thing. I suppose that if the city of EGR picks up our leaves tomorrow, that I will be back at leaf raking again before Halloween.

Set the leaves on fire. Douse them with gasoline and set them ablaze! Wretched, detestable debris... BURN THEM!!!!!!!!!

we just let ours blow over to the neighbors.... this works of course, only if our neighbors on the other side don't do the same!

we also are of the belief the "multching" them back into the grass is good for the earth. we hope we're right!

The real question is not whether the leaves will all be raked, but whether the Jello shooters will be sufficiently chilled come Trick-or-Treat?? The Guinness on ice? A beefy red breathing? Oh, and the chocolate. Don't forget the chocolate!

The house looks great...till another strong wind rolls through town. Hopefully they'll all have the good sense to drop before the first snow. Out here in the wild, wild west, we're just waiting for the citrus to ripen!

Love the blogs...yours and Dees. More links. Hurrah!!
